THE CHASE

Every driver hits a plateau.More laps won’t break it.Being shown what you’re actually doing will.

Jon rides in the passenger seat and tells you what’s happening while it happens. Between sessions you sit down and check it against the video and the data. Feel it first, then prove it — that’s the whole method.

Where drivers find their lap time

You don’t have to take my word for it. This is a driver I’ve coached at Motorsport Ranch Cresson — and the data-backed method behind the lap time that followed.

DATA-BACKED COACHING

Every run on the Garmin Catalyst

Video and telemetry from every session — braking markers, apexes, your line against your best achievable lap. You see exactly where the time is.

THE COACH

Jon-Eric Fountain

I’ve spent over 20 years training elite athletes. I learned how to develop an individual — how to assess where someone is, how they learn, how to communicate, how to meet them where they are.

On the track, I’m an SCCA Time Trial Season Champion — and I got there from complete novice in 18 months. As a coach, I’ve helped advanced drivers hit personal bests in remarkably few sessions.

Identify the limiter. Apply the right input. Build the change until it’s natural. Stack the gains until your race weekend stops looking like the one before it.

THE DATL METHOD

Feel first. Data last.

Great drivers are built on awareness, not spreadsheets. Our five tenets — Feel, Interpret, Analyze, Test, Repeat — turn what the car is telling you into lasting speed. Data is the scalpel at the end, not the axe at the start.

01

Feel & Interpret

Before speed, you learn to feel what the car is telling you — and what every sensation means. That's the difference between guessing and driving.

02

Analyze & Test

We observe your inputs and the car's response, then change one thing at a time and evaluate it. Video and telemetry confirm what your senses already found.

Repeat

Progress comes from repetition with intention. We stack the gains until podiums stop being a surprise.
