WE BELIEVE
The quicker we make mistakes, the faster we make progress.
Mistakes aren’t failures. They’re information. The goal isn’t to avoid them — it’s to recognize them sooner.
THE FIVE TENETS
How we build a driver.
Feel
Before you can drive quickly, you must learn to feel what the car is telling you.
Interpret
Every sensation has meaning. Understanding what the car is communicating is what separates guessing from driving.
Analyze
Observe your inputs, your decisions, and the car's response. Analysis creates understanding.
Test
Make one change. Evaluate the result. Build knowledge instead of collecting opinions.
Repeat
Progress comes from repetition with intention — not repetition alone.

OUR HARD RULE
Data is a supplement — not the story.
We spend the majority of our coaching developing feel, observation, and interpretation. We watch video and review laps, but those tools support what your senses should already be telling you. We don’t spend the day buried in throttle, brake, and steering traces. Great drivers are built through awareness first — data simply confirms what awareness has discovered.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
The fundamentals, in order.
- Vision — eyes up and moving, reading the track three points ahead
- Threshold braking — maximum grip without lockup
- Trail braking — carrying brake into the corner to load the front tire
- The racing line — brake, turn-in, apex, track-out
- Smooth car control — progressive inputs that keep the car balanced
- Consistency — repeatable, reference-driven laps before chasing speed
Take drivers from HPDE Level 1 to Level 4, to Time Trial, to standing on the podium — faster, with less seat time, less tire wear, and dramatically less trial and error.

Where drivers find their lap time
You don’t have to take my word for it. This is a driver I’ve coached at Motorsport Ranch Cresson — and the data-backed method behind the lap time that followed.
QUESTIONS
The method, explained.
Why is feel more important than data?
Because awareness is what makes data mean anything. Great drivers are built through feel, observation, and interpretation first — data simply confirms what awareness has already discovered.
What is trail braking?
Trail braking is easing off the brake as you turn in — trading braking force for cornering grip to keep weight on the front tire and rotate the car into the corner.
Don't you use data and video?
Yes — but as the scalpel at the end, not the axe at the start. We cut the tree down with awareness, then carve with data. Most coaching starts with data; we finish with it.
